One in four teens experience abuse in their dating relationships. This violence doesn’t have to happen. You can help stop it by joining Young Leaders Against Violence or YLAV - a youth-led coalition focused on increasing awareness and preventing relationship and sexual violence. Being a part of YLAV provides the opportunity to be a leader and energize our community to take a stand against violence. YLAV accepts high school and college students. YLAV meets twice a month to organize events, plan social media campaigns and meet with community leaders and legislators. Participants develop valuable organizing skills learned while engaging in grass roots advocacy efforts.

Meetings are held January through April on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Kent County Health Department at 700 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI.

Orientation will be held on Saturday, January 13. Time and location to be determined. .

Dinner and bus tickets are provided.
